I have just returned from Peru and the 5 day international festival of flutists where I was one of the guest artists. This was an amazing experience with colleagues from the USA, , Canada, Argentina, Columbia, Brazil, Peru, Chile, Venezuela, Japan, and Norway. It was the 30th anniversary of this festival which is quite an accomplishment in this day and age.

I stumbled upon this article and wanted to share it. The concept of "happiness" and our varying ideas of what makes us each happy is fascinating to me. Perfect. It's a wonderful thought. Who wouldn't enjoy having a perfect performance? How many times have we prepared endless hours and dreamt of having a perfect recital for school? A perfect lesson? Masterclass performance? Audition?
